Rev 3:1-3 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Are you ready for Christmas? In His message to the church at Sardis Christ pointed out the things ready to die. (Verse 2) Today we see the true message of Christmas ready to die in our nation. No more “Merry Christmas”, no more nativity scenes in public places, it is now the getting season and not the getting season, and people have lost sight of Jesus even at Christmas time. Christian we need to strengthen the things that are “Ready to die”. There is no better time to tell people of Christ, no better time to share the gospel, no better time to give light to those in darkness than Christmas time. Don’t allow Christmas to die in your home, in your community, and yes, even in your church. More today than ever people need the one that Christmas points to, the one that Christmas is about, the one who brings light to darkness and life to those who are dead. Seek one out today that you can tell about Jesus Christ. We are not perfect and God knows that but we can tell others about Jesus.
