December 19th, 2012 by Pastor Solley1 Peter 3:14-16 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
Are your ready for Christmas? We need to be ready to “Answer to every man that asketh you”. Last evening my wife and myself were doing some shopping for ourselves for Christmas. We have the items, took them to the clerk, and they she asked, “Do you know these items do not go on sale until Thursday?” I was not ready to answer that simple question, it took me off guard and we put the items back on the shelf. We should never be caught off guard when speaking of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christian, we may not know the deep things of God, but we can know the simple things, we can know and testify of what has happened in us and share it with others, we should never be caught off guard. Read your Bible, pray, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in talking to others about Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God will be faithful to the Word of God and the Son of God in giving you the right words to say in the right situation as we testify of Christ and His love for us. Never be caught off guard.
