November 28th, 2012 by Pastor Solley2 Chron 7:14-18 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. 16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments; 18 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
The first step toward national revival is personal revival. Notice that Solomon was to walk before the Lord as David walked. If the nation was going to be right, Solomon had to be right. Friend, if we want to see revival in America today then we as Christians must seek revival in our lives, we must be right before God. Most like to complain about the nation and point to the sin of the nation without ever considering their own heart before God. Revival comes with a cost and if we want revival for the nation then we must seek it in ourselves first. Many ask me if there can be a revival in America today and the answer is no, not as long as God’s people do not seek revival in themselves. “If my People”, that must be the trumpet that sounds revival. When we see revival, true revival in the Christian then perhaps we would see it in the America.

Very good lesson. It does seem that it is easy to look at everyone else’s sin and not focus on our own. As Christians it does seem like we tend to blame the world that they live in darkness and forget that it’s because our lights aren’t on. Thanks again for the good thought today.
