Heb 13:8
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.Isn’t this a wonderful and powerful verse. That is not a question but a statement. To know that God never changes, that Jesus never changes is a great source of comfort. The same one who stood with the three in the fire, stood with Daniel in the lion’s den, stood with Joshua, Jeremiah, David, Moses and so many more stands with us. It is a great source of strength. The same one that gave boldness to Peter and John, empowered Paul stands with us. It is a great source of wisdom. The same one that imparted spiritual wisdom to Solomon will do the same for us. What a wonderful and powerful verse.
Yet how many today try and change God? How many are trying to mold God into their own image or an image tat they would like? A God that accepts everything and everyone, a God of love and forgiveness, a God who smiles on all His creatures.
Remember God never changes. God is all that we stated above. But God is also a God of holiness and righteousness, a God of truth and judgment.
