Rom 4:1-8 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

What a wonderful truth, what a blessed state that the Lord would not put sin on our account. (Verse 8) But what man is that whose sin would not be placed on his account? The Bible clearly states that ALL have sinned, and that sin MUST be judged. We are born with an account of sin that must be paid for, that must be judged. Yet Jesus Christ paid the price for that sin on the Cross. How then does ore account become clear? We must follow what is found in verse 3 of our reading this morning, we must believe God. Believe God that we are ALL sinners, believe God that Jesus Christ died for ALL, believe God that ALL are called to salvation, and then call out to Jesus Christ in faith to be saved. What a blessed truth it is to know that sin, my sin, is not imputed to my account, that Jesus took it all. Do you know for sure today that your sin has been forgiven?
