And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, And as a root out of a dry ground: He hath no form nor comeliness; And when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: And we hid as it were our faces from him; He was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, And carried our sorrows: Yet we did esteem him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon him; And with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned every one to his own way; And the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Who is lost, who needs a savior, who did Jesus die for, who can be saved? These are not difficult questions to answer if one just reads the Bible, God’s Word on the matter. How thankful we should be for the “All” of Scripture. Yes that word does condemn all. Verse 6) But at the same time it makes salvation available to all. (Verse 6) If all have sinned and all that sin had been laid upon Jesus Christ then if follows that all can be saved. Don’t complicate the work of salvation with the doctrine of men, follow the doctrine of God. Jesus stated that all can be saved. (John 3:16) Paul preached that all can be saved. (Rom 10:13; 1 Tim 2:3-4) Peter preached that all can be saved. (2 Pet 3:9) One could say these are the greatest in the New Testament. Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles, Peter to the Jews, and Jesus is the very Son of God, the Truth, the living Word. If these three tell us that all have sinned, they have. If they tell us Jesus died for all, He did. If they tell us all can be saved, they can. Just follow the simple truth of the Word of God, follow the “All” of Scripture.
