Daily Devotions

1 Tim 4:13-16 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

What is it that you will meditate upon today? What did the team do last night, how will they do this year, what about my job, my retirement, my health, my family and so on. There are many tings that occupy the minds of people today. But how many today will meditate upon spiritual things? How many will begin the day in Bible study and prayer and then meditate upon those things during the day? No many judging by the condition of our nation and the church. I wonder what changes would take pace in both if people would just give their hearts and minds over to Christ? For sure there would be great changes in lives, homes and the church. When that happens this nation then can back to the very foundation upon which it was built, faith in God. Christian this is the area that we need to lead the way. Take time today to read your Bible, to pray, then to meditate upon these things. If we be given wholly to them the blessings of God will follow.
