Watching a news report last evening from State College PA I saw that a gentleman from the college had set up a table with a glass top for the purpose of healing in the community and at the college. Each day this week he writes a saying at the top of the table and then people passing by can write a response. The saying yesterday was “We are”. There were many response including “Family, proud, Penn State, recovering, and so on. Then right in the middle of the table someone had written “Praying”. This is the first that I have seen that indicates that at least one person gets it, at least one person is willing to humble themselves under the mighty hand of God. In all of our lives it is time to set pride aside, seek out the Lord, and humble ourselves before Him. It is the only way the sinner will find salvation and the saint will find peace and joy. What is it in our lives that pride causes us to hold onto? Whatever it is it is time to humble ourselves and turn all over to Christ.
