Daily Devotions

James 5:1-3 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

I have been listening and watching the reaction of people to the news of what the NCAA did to Penn State and these are the verses that come to mind. Still not word of repentance from the University or the community. Outrage over what they did to the memory of a man, the taking down of a statue, and how the football team has been hurt, but still not a word of repentance. All I have seen in shop owners stating how much money it will cost them, that the fines are too steep, that the football team will not be able to win many games. This is now the nation we live in and the values most people carry.
