Never is a long time isn’t it? I hear that word used a lot and not always in a positive way. People have disagreements and say they will never talk to that one again. Things change and people say they will never be the same. Never is a long time isn’t it? One thing that I have learned is to never say never. Yet there are some things we can be sure about the word “Never” in a very positive way. God’s Word will never change. What was true yesterday is true today and will be forever. What a blessing and encouragement that truth is, God’s Word will never change. Eternal life will never end. The life that we receive from the Lord Jesus Christ when we repent of sin and call upon Him to save us is eternal, that life will never end. What a blessing and encouragement that truth is, eternal life will never end. Jesus Christ will never leave us nor forsake us. When trial comes, when skies are clear, when we laugh and when we cry, Jesus Christ will never leave us nor forsake us. What a blessing and encouragement that truth is, Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. In a changing world never is a long time but few things are forever. Yet we find that some things are and praise God for that. His Word is forever, His life is forever, and His presence is forever for the redeemed in Christ. Never is a long time.
