For one reason or another it is very easy to forget the blessings of the Lord. (Verse 2) Be it the trials of life, the wariness of body, the worries that come upon us, it seems to be very easy to forget the blessings of the Lord. So let us stop for a moment as we begin our day and remember all “His benefits”. What a great blessing it is to have sin forgiven, to have our lives redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, to stand in the lovingkindness and mercy of the Lord. To be given good things that do satisfy and to know that in Christ we can mount up with wings as eagles. God is so good to us, not one time but over and over again we have the blessings of the Lord on a daily basis. Why are those things so easy to forget? Don’t forget today to thank God for His blessings, for all His benefits. To do that will help us face each day, help us walk in the light of His Son, help us be a good testimony for Him and help us serve Jesus Christ.
