Phil 1:3-6
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, 5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Who or what holds your confidence today? It can’t be the government. Our leaders live in a different world than we do. Just listen to the President and he doesn’t see the America that I am living in. It can’t be Wall Street. Only those insiders can make that work in a big way. It can’t be the economy. How can a nation in debt keep printing play money as we do? And how many people can you really trust in this world? So where and in what or who can we place our confidence? We can be confident of the Lord my friend. I want to spend a few days this week looking at that world confident. In order to put your confidence in someone they must have been proved trustworthy. In order to your confidence in something it must have been proved solid and dependable. Who or what holds your confidence today? And if we really are confident of something or someone how then does that dictate that we act? Over the next few days we will look at being confident.
