13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. 15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
We begin our Vacation Bible School next Monday. We still do things the old fashioned way in our VBS. Classes for ages 2 through 17, classrooms with teachers, opening and closing each day with prayer. No contests or games, just Bible teaching and Bible preaching. What our young people need today, what your children and grandchildren need is the Lord Jesus Christ and the preaching of the Word of God. My point is not to be critical of all the programs designed to draw people in that many are using today, many of them are good to a point. But when those programs take the place of the Word of God, take the place of preaching, then there is a problem. Many who read this cannot bring their children to our VBS but what I would ask you to do is pray for us next wee. Pray for young hearts to be given to the Lord, prayed for souls to be saved. That is the need of the hour, not games, Christ.
