Mark 6:30-31 And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught. 31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

There are times when we need to “Come ye yourselves apart” to be with the Lord. The disciples were engaged in the work of the Lord and as they reported to Jesus all that was being done He told them to come apart, or come away with Him. We need to be apart with Jesus. Yes there are times when we need to rest and be refreshed, but even in those times we need to be with Jesus. That word “Apart” is not found many times in the Bible, just 24. The first use of the word “Apart” is in Ex 13:12 where the Bible tells us that Israel was to set the firstborn apart for the Lord. We need to be set apart for the Lord’s use. The last time the word “Apart” is used is in James 1:21 where the Bible instructs us to be set apart from all filthiness. It is important for you and me to be set apart for the Lord today. Yes to rest, but also to serve and live for Him. Jesus is calling for you to be set apart today.
