Proverbs 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favour of the LORD.

With Mother’s Day coming up I want to consider what the Bible says about women. So many wrongly think that the Bible and God have a low view of women. Verses such as 1 Cor 14:28 and Eph 5:22 taken out of context aid that type of liberal thinking. There are many verses in Proverbs and the books of the Law that are not studied fully and that also causes the liberal mind to cry out that God is not just toward women. But is that really the case? Read your Bible, the King James Bible, and you will find that nothing could be farther from the truth. Consider our text verse for today. This also must be studied through the Bible. That one who finds a wife finds a good thing according to God. But the wife, the woman, must be a Godly woman of faith and good character. That woman God thinks much of. Woman like Hannah, Ruth, Mary, Martha and so on. Not only does God think much of them, God honors them. Find one place in the Bible if you can that sates whosoever finds a husband finds a good thing. God does think much of Godly women. Consider that for today and tomorrow we will point out several women and why God thought so much of them.
