9 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
Has there ever been a man that Jesus did not see, ever been a man that Jesus passed by? The answer to that question is no. Jesus see you my friend, sees me, sees all men and sees us in our need. This man was blind and needed his sight. By obeying what Jesus said this man came forth seeing. What he had been denied from his birth was now his because he obeyed Jesus. There is a lesson here for the lost is there not? Those who by birth stand in darkness, the darkness of sin. Those who have eyes blinded by Satan. Jesus sees those ones, see all of them and He will not pass them by. Jesus said that He would draw “All” men unto Himself. Just as He did not pass by this blind man, Jesus will pass by no man today. But one must obey in order to go from darkness to light. This man if he had chosen to sit back down where he was would have spent the rest of his life in that darkness. So it is with many today who hear the gospel message. Jesus is before them but they must obey His command to be born again. When man chooses not to obey he or she remains in darkness. Man must do his part in salvation, man must believe and receive, man must obey. This man did what Jesus said and came forth seeing all. What about you today?
