Prov 30:24-28
24 There be four things which are little upon the earth,
But they are exceeding wise:
25 The ants are a people not strong,
Yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
26 The conies are but a feeble folk,
Yet make they their houses in the rocks;
27 The locusts have no king,
Yet go they forth all of them by bands;
28 The spider taketh hold with her hands,
And is in kings’ palaces. #

We have been talking about little things given to the Lord. Did you know that little things that are not right add up as well? At about 4:30AM this morning there was a strange smell in the house. I checked all around and then down in the basement as well but found nothing. At about 5:15AM a water line blew off our boiler. What I had been smelling was steam escaping from a crack in the pipe. If I had looked more closely for the problem I might have avoided a bigger problem. Now we have water all over the furnace room, tools are soaked, and a clean up in store. I might have been able to shut off the water and replace the weak pipe without a mess if I had paid attention to “Little things”. It is the same spiritually in our lives. God can do great things with “Little things” but “Little things” not right in our lives can cause great ruin. There are no little sins, no little areas of neglect, that Satan cannot turn into bigger things. And then we have problems that may have been avoided. Pay attention to “Little things” that may hinder us spiritually and cause greater problems down the road. Clean up is always hard and even harder when one knows it could have been avoided.
