And the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light. 12 But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?
We live in a day of knowledge. Want to know anything, just click on the internet. The other day I was changing brakes on my car and ran into a problem. It was solved with just a few clicks of the mouse. We do live in a day of knowledge. Yet this question found in Job is still a question that needs to be answered. “Where shall wisdom be found”? With all the knowledge at the fingertips of man we still have no wisdom. Why? Because wisdom is found only in the Lord. In Jesus Christ alone “Are his all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col 2:3) And the problem is that people have no time at all for the Lord today, no time for His Word, and no desire to seek after God. The result is that the smarter man becomes the dumber he gets. If you want to find wisdom you must read down through Job 12 and seek the place that it can be found as revealed in verse 28. “And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.”
