5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Gen 5:21-24
21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
In honor of Father’s Day I want to look at a Godly father who pleased God this morning.
Did you know that Enoch is the only man in the Bible of whom it says he pleased God? Enoch pleased God because he waled with God. What does this type of walk demand?
1. This type of walk demands obedience to God.
2. This type of walk demands communion and fellowship with God on a daily basis.
3. This type of walk demands going forward with God.
4. This type of walk demands waiting on God.
5. This type of walk demands patience.
6. This type of walk will be rewarded.
The influence he had on his family must have been great. The great grandson of Enoch was Noah who found grace in the sight of God.
I wonder does our walk with God, your walk with God, my walk with God have an influence on those around us?
