And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year. 21 And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.
Ezekiel 37:3-4 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. 4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
Many wonder over the condition of the world today, over the darkness of sin and the power of Satan, many wonder if we can ever see revival again in this day and age. I believe the answer to that question is yes. Just as the dead man revived when he touched the bones of Elisha, just as the bones in Ezekiel stood and came alive we can have revival today. We are I believe seeing revival in our church at Cherry Corner. We are having special meetings this week but it started some time ago. It began when a group of people began to meet for pray, began to pray for revival. It continued as the meetings began and the preaching of the Word of God was given and received with purpose. It continues with altars filled each evening thus far and will continue I pray this evening as well. God’s people can have revival, the dead can live, the dry bones can stand up. But we need to want it, desire it, crave it, pray for revival. God’s work in this world is not over Christian. We are on the winning side. But we need to want God to do a work in our lives, we need to come to Him for revival. For those of our church who read this keep on [praying. Invite others out to the services. We need and we can have revival today. But it needs to be from God and it needs to be from hearing and obeying His Word. The question becomes, do we want revival?
