Romans 14:11-12 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

The news here in PA is now dominated by what is going on in State College at Penn State. Much of the nation if not all has turned its attention our way for answers to what had been going on their. At the foundation of it all is sin. Just one little three letter word, sin. It is a vivid picture of how Satan has taken hold of this world and how deep we have fallen into sin. Not just the actions of one but then of many in keeping things covered up. Does anyone stop to consider that one day God will call all to give an account before Him of all things? The man accused will have much to answer for before God. The Bible is very clear of what God thinks of those who harm children. But what of the others as well? What of those who stood by and did nothing even though they were informed or witnessed what was taking place. They will have much to answer for as well. What is my point in all of this? As Christians we need to have a holy walk in the Lord Jesus Christ but we also need to speak out against sin. We are no better than many in the scandal at Penn State when we wink at sin, when we laugh at it, when we ignore it. For example, how many TV programs do we watch where the name of God is blasphemed? How many with explicit sexual scenes that we know we should not view? How many giving honor to perverted lifestyles? We would never do those things but we invite them into our homes and allow our flesh to be fed by them. Is that any better than covering up sin? I think not because we are promoting it by giving it our time. Sin needs to be exposed today just as that one needed to be exposed in State College. Sin needs to be spoken against and not laughed at or ignored. One day we will all give an account before God. Have we taken a stand against sin?
