October 18th, 2011 by Pastor SolleyPsalm 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright:
For the end of that man is peace.
Philippians 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
2 Thessalonians 3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
Did you know that you are a “Marked man”? According to the Bible we are. The perfect man is to be a marked man according to Psalm 37. The one who walks with God is to be a marked man according to Philippians 3. And the disobedient person is to be a marked man according to 2 Thessalonians 3. But take note of thee markings. God wants us to mark those who are spiritually sound and walking with the Lord and use them as examples for our life. Mark that faithful man, that prayerful man, that obedient man, that serving man, and follow his example. Mark also that disobedient man, that lazy man, that worldly man and use him as an example as well. But that one we use as an example of what not to be. We are marked people. Some may read this and think “I don’t care what people think of me”. That is well enough but have you ever stopped to consider that it is not just men that mark us, that God marks us as well? God marked Job did He not? If the rest of Job holds true, if Satan still opposes the man of God, if Satan still tries to destroy, then why not the marking of men today by God? Yes God does mark us. For examples here and for rewards later on. But what type of example are we? Positive or negative? And what type of rewards awaits us?
