Daily Devotions

Camp week has started with many blessings. More campers, seeing old faithful friends, lots of help and good preaching. Pray for our camp, that the Spirit of God would move, for when God does a work Satan always stands against it. I am reminded of what I heard a preacher once say.
Luke 22:6-29
And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. 47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. 48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
“It is amazing how Satan is able to work through people. I have often wondered how Judas could do this to Jesus with all Jesus had done for him. If he did not believe in Jesus, if he didn’t like the preaching, even if he hated Jesus, why not just walk away and leave him alone? Because Satan had a hold on Judas. The same thing continues today. Preachers and churches are attacked by those whom Satan has a hold upon. No man and no church is perfect but some are doing all they can for the Lord. They stand behind what they believe and preach the truth as guided by the Holy Spirit. Don’t be surprised when Satan stands in opposition against them.”
