Hebrews 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
There are three words found in these three verses, three Bible words, reformation, regeneration, and repent. The world will tell you that we need reformation today, society needs to be reformed so it can be regenerated, given new and better life. To that end there are countless social programs and institutions aimed at reforming people. But none of these are working because the world leaves out one important word, repent. Man can never be given new lie, can never be reformed unless and until he repents of his sin and turns to God. God then give regeneration which leads to reformation. The way t a better society is through Jesus Christ. Consider this, no place in the Bible does God command reformation or regeneration. But God does command man to repent. Only when a person repents does God give new life and this new life brings reformation. The world has it all backwards.
