Luke 11:10-13
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

I am convinced that many Christians miss out on the blessings of God simply because they do not ask for them. And why do they not ask? Some are so given to the world that they look there first. Some are so self centered that they try and do things on their own. Some are so blinded by Satan that they forget about the Lord. In others words they are lacking spiritually so they will not look for spiritual help or blessings. They have forgotten that it is a spiritual battle that we are in. If you are lacking today stop and see if you have asked. God knows before we ask but still waits to hear from us. Have you asked today?
