1 Thessalonians 5:23-25 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.25 Brethren, pray for us.
Verse 25 is a very short verse, only four words, but those words are the key to the success of any work done for the Lord Jesus Christ. “Brethren, pray for us.” Never has any man or ministry been able to do anything in the name of Christ without prayer. There are many false apostles, false teachers, and man made ministries that seem to flourish apart from prayer but their end is coming. Just like the May 21st lie they will fall in the end and come under the judgment of Christ one day. But if we want to do anything in the name of the Lord we need prayer. Prayer to be good husbands and wives, prayer to be good parents, prayer to be good servants, prayer to be good church members, prayer to do anything, be anything for Christ. We cannot function apart from prayer. We begin our second day of a Bible conference on prayer. There were some very encouraging messages yesterday and we look forward to the same today. What is sad to me is that many who need so much prayer neglect the services. Brethren, pray for us.
