It is never easy to see a loved one leave this world. As a pastor I have been with many people during their last hours in this world and I can tell you how true verse 15 rings. No person get to choose the time or the manner of his or her death but there is a choice you can make in life that settles how you leave this world. Time after time I have prayed with dear saints of God at the time of their death, some I have been with even holding their hand as prayer was made for them. I have witnessed them leaving this world with a peace because they are held in the arms of Jesus Christ and receive from Him a special dying grace. On the other hand I have as well been with those outside the body of Christ just hours, even minutes before they have left this world and it s much different. They struggle and fight to stay in this world because they have refused the grace and mercy of God offered to all in Jesus Christ. They have no comfort, they have no peace because it is judgment in hell that awaits them and somehow they seem to be aware that what is on the other side for them is of Satan and not of God. What about you my friend? How will you leave this world? Are you a child of God, have you been born again? The choice is yours, Jesus Christ is standing before you with open arms. Will you come to Him today? And if you are saved, what are you doing to win the lost for Christ? Heaven or hell awaits.
