26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
KJHave you ever pondered over what Jesus prays for concerning us as His children today? The Bible says “He ever liveth to make intercession for them.” That is for the born again child of God that Jesus continues to make intercession for today, prays for today. What then does Jesus pray for concerning me today? Certainly not that I go through this day without spending time with Him in prayer and reading His Word. Certainly not that I forgo every opportunity to speak for Him. Certainly not that I dwell in the world, walk in the flesh. Certainly not that I refuse to yield to the Holy Spirit. Certainly not that is disobey His Word. Just the opposite is true as Jesus does pray that we, that I serve Him, walk in His will, worship Him in Spirit and in truth, love Him with all of my heart and present myself before Him each and everyday. Then when I fail Him as we so often do “He ever liveth to make intercession for them.” That doesn’t mean I feel free to fail Him but it does mean I bow my head in prayer this morning and thank Him for praying for me and ask for His help to walk in the light with Him today.
