Ps 18:6-10 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

How far away is help when you need it? How long before that help arrives on the scene? Some years ago we had a fire in our home and called the fire department and they did arrive in time to save our house. The firemen deserve a great deal of thanks for how quickly they responded and how they took action when they arrived. But we also called on another to help, we cried out to one who arrived long before the fire trucks, one who stayed the flames, who took immediate action, one who bowed the heavens and came upon the wings of the wind as the Bible states. That one is there for you dear friend when you are in distress and all you need do is cry out to Him. I thanked the local fire department for what they did that afternoon, sent a donation for they are all volunteers and they did act as quickly as they could. I also believe one arrived long before they did because we called out in our distress and we give even more thanks to our God. Who do you call out to first when you are in need? Why not cry out to the one who will come to your aid on the wings of the wind?
