Ps 116:12-18 What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.
14 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

How can something so painful to us be precious to God? It is because we always look at death through earthly eyes. Death brings that pain of separation from one we love and that is a very natural thing. But for God death brings a uniting with one He loves so much He sent His only begotten Son into the world to die for. For God death brings a uniting with one He loves so much He lives for day unto day. For God death brings a uniting with one He loves so much He has protected and provided for all of their earthy life. For God death allows one to step into His presence and for the first time experience that fullness of heavenly joy. Death brings much pain for those still living in this world but if we look at death through the eyes of God that pain is tempered and we can give our Savior much praise in all things. Of course that applies to those who have received Jesus as their savior for when we have Christ in our heart we can praise Him at all times. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”
