Ps 30:1-5 I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
KJV
How many times have you cried out to the Lord for a healing? How many times has that prayer gone unanswered? The answer for the first question in this man’s life cannot be numbered while the answer to the second question is zero. Many are the times I have asked to be healed of disappointment and discouragement. Many are the times I have asked to be healed of a broken heart. Many are the times of have asked to healed of a bitterness that was trying to take root within. Many are the times I have asked to be healed of worry and fear. Many are the times I have asked to be healed of pride. Many are the times I have asked to be healed of envy. Yes there have been times I have cried out for a physical healing in my life and in the lives of those so close to me and each time that prayer has been answered as well. For some that answer came when they were taken out of this world of pain and suffering, delivered into the presence of the Lord and the answer was yes. For some the answer has been to wait with patience and keep a testimony for the Lord. But I have never found the answer to be no and never will for when we place faith and trust in our loving and caring Savior He will lift us up. Perhaps the answer has not always been what we think is best, but it has always been what our Lord knows is best.
