Ps 62:1-2 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
Ps 62:5-7 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
KJV
What can I expect from the day that is just now beginning? I have things to get done, places to go, some people to see, but what can I expect from the day that is just now beginning? In truth I have no idea what this day will hold good or bad. There are some things however that I can expect from my God that will sustain and carry me through this day and all days. My salvation in Christ is secure. (Verse 2) There is a hedge placed around me for He is my defense against the enemy no matter how many I may face. (Verse 2) He will never be moved and so I ask for the strength not to be moved from Him. (Verse 2) He is my refuge to flee to when I am troubled, tired and lonely. (Verse 7) He is the one I wait upon for His way is always best. (Verse 5) My expectation today is in the Lord. (Verse 5) Those things, and many, many more will make this a good day in the Lord no matter what this day will hold. (Ps 118:23-24 This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. 24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.) That I can expect.
