Job 38:4-11 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

Do you ever wonder as some do who is in control of things today? Is our President in control, is congress in control, is the media in control, who is in control today? Is Satan in control? Those are questions that many have today and cause many to be consumed by worry. Who is in control? Job had that question when his life seemed to be out of control and God gave him the answer that still rings true today. God is in control. God had some questions for Job in chapter thirty eight, those are just the beginning of them in our reading this morning. And those questions tell us without doubt that God is in control, always has been and always will be. Where were we when God did all of the mighty acts of creation listed in Job thirty eight and thirty nine? Our God is always in control of each and every moment of each and ever day and our lives as well and when we remember that it answers all of the questions we have. God is in control.
