Ps 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
Ps 119:176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.
KJV
There are 176 verses in this longest chapter found in the Bible and within the 176 verses there are very few that do not make mention of the Word of God. The instructions one finds, the comfort one finds, the knowledge one finds, the protection one finds, the victory one finds, the salvation one finds and many more things we all need from the Lord are all found in Psalm 119. No wonder then that the Bible was so important, so precious in the life of the Psalmist. Because our God has not changed, because His Word has not changed, because the needs of man have not changed, shouldn’t the Bible be precious to you and me today? Can we say we have more understanding than the teachers of worldly things because we spend time in His Word? (Ps 119:99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.) Can we say we have a light to follow because we follow His Word? (Ps 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.) Can we say we love His Word more than the riches of this world? (Ps 119:127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.) Take time to read Psalm 119 and see what the Word of God has for you.
