Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
KJV
We continue this morning with The Prince of Peace. Christmas, the way we celebrate in America, is about children and families to me. Lord willing we will see our children and all of our grandchildren on Christmas Day and that will be a great blessing. But people often wonder today what is going to happen to the next generations as this world gets more and more engulfed in sin? My answer is that the one who took care of us and the generations before us still loves and cares for the little ones. (Matt 19:13-14 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. ; Matt 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. ; Matt 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.) We can have peace today concerning our children and grandchildren because The Prince of Peace loves and cares for them more than we do. No better reason to bring them to Jesus as soon as they are born. Introduce them to the Savior, pray for them, and turn them over to the Lord Jesus Christ for He does love them and He is The Prince of Peace.
