December 16th, 2025 by Pastor SolleyIsa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
“His name shall ne called Wonderful.” The word used here means full of wonder, full of marvelous things, full of remarkable things and some too wonderful to explain. Is that Jesus to you today? It is who and what Jesus wants to be for you and me. I have received some wonderful gifts at Christmas time over the years, some from my youth that I remember so very well, some from teen years, some recent as well, but I have never received one so wonderful as Jesus and His love and care for me. Can I tell you about the deepest valleys of my life He has brought me through? Can I tell you about the mountain tops He has placed me upon? Can I tell you about prayers answered that are absolute miracles? Can I tell you about financial provision that came when there was no way we could make ends meet? Can I tell you about gifts received that we never asked for or expected? Can I tell you about all the wonderful things Jesus has done for me and my wife? I would love to do just that but I do not possess words wonderful enough to tell you just how wonderful Jesus is to me and has been for me. Take time to thank Him for all He has done for you over the years and you also will find His name to be Wonderful.
