Daily Devotions

Ps 130:1-3 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

No matter how many times we may call out to the Lord from the depths, from the depths of trial and troubles, from the depths of doubts and fears, our Lord always hears our voice and is always attentive to our needs. I wonder how many times those depths may have been avoided in the past if one had always been given to prayer, always speaking to the Lord and listening for His voice? Many times the depths are needed to turn us to the Lord, to bring us to a closer walk with our Savior. That of course is not always the case for we have an enemy that wants to discourage us and we are under constant attack and that is all the more reason to cry out of the depths to the one who loves us and is always attentive to our needs.
