I was recently in the hospital for a few tests, which came out fine, and they put a band around my wrist that said “Fall risk.” I was wondering as I looked at that band who it was that was going to keep me from falling? I was taller than the nurses, certainly weighed much more than they did, who was going to keep me from falling? So glad I don’t have to worry about that when it comes to salvation in Christ. The road to heaven is at times beset with many difficulties, many rough places, many slippery places and we all tend to slip at times, take a wrong turn at times, we are not that sure footed to never slip. Who will keep is from falling? Jesus will! Jesus saved us, Jesus keeps us, and Jesus will present us before the Father in heaven as one that is faultless because we have placed faith and trust in Him and Him alone. The road I take today will have many twists and turns, I may see things I never wanted to see, hear things I never wanted to hear, and be tempted to do things that right now I would say I would not do. But one thing I don’t have to worry about is who will keep me from falling.
