Rom 3:23-26 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
KJV
Who can stand up and declare one as being just before a Holy and Righteous God? Certainly no man or woman can because we have been declared unjust by the sin nature we are born with, a sin nature we ALL have. (All does mean ALL.) Who has the authority, has the power, has the right to declare another just before God? Only one that is just themselves and that one is Jesus Christ. Christ can do exactly that, declare us just because He and He alone in the just one who came into this world and gave His life on the cross a sacrifice for all who have been born in sin and that is ALL of us. Have you looked to Jesus today for forgiveness of sin, have you looked to Jesus today as the only one who can declare you righteous before God the Father? We sang a song in church last even that states “Only a sinner saved by grace” and when that is true we can also sing that we are a sinner justified by grace and declared just by Jesus Christ. Do you know Him today?
