10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

So thankful today for the time mercy and truth met together in my life. The truth is that sin separates from God, that sin brings death, that sin must be paid for, and that sin is the very nature all people are born with. Mercy is withholding judgment deserved. But how much mercy will it take for God to forgive our sin through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross? How much mercy did it take for my sin to be washed away when I cried out to Jesus to forgive and save me? How much? It will never be known because God’s mercy cannot be measured and will never run out. What I do know is that mercy and truth can meet and salvation can be found in all who call upon the name of Jesus. (Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.)
