Mark 1:30-34 But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.
31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.
32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.
34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
KJV
This account that tells us that devils were cast out and people were healed of all different types of diseases begins with Jesus taking a fever away from Peter’s mother-in-law. We are not told how high that fever was, how long she had it, or what she had tried to rid herself of it. We are not told if she was lying down resting or on her death bed. All we know is that Jesus healed the fever. How bad, how long do we need to have fever before we take it to the Lord? Does 99 require prayer? Do we wait until it reached 100 or 102? Or should we bring even the slightest need before our Lord in prayer? This is not to take away from the fever that woman had, it most likely was one that would take her life at that time, but to show that our Lord cares as much about little needs as great needs and that we can bring any need to our Lord any time and He will care and move in answer to our prayers.
