Prov 11:30-31 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

Doesn’t it often seem today that the only ones rewarded in this world are the wicked? That those who try and follow the will of God, serve our Lord, obey what the Bible says are left behind and as the worlds standards are concerned and left wanting? That seems to be the opposite of what the Bible says in our text verses for today. But there is a day coming for those who with patience run the race that is set before us. (Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,) A day of reward, a day of recompense as the Bible says. But we are, if we but focus on the things of God and the blessings of God living in that day right now as well. Talking with my dear wife after we had shared devotions with our immediate family as we are all together for a few days we cannot count how we have been blessed. Our daughter, her husband and three children all born again and seeking to follow after the Lord, Our son, his wife and baby daughter seeking prayer to be spiritual examples for her and praying that she will get saved at an early age. All of us able to be together and the closeness that we have not only as a family but in Christ. We are being recompensed right now and it will only get better when we see Jesus face to face. Christian, take time to count how you are blessed right now and look forward to even greater blessings in the Lord.
