2 Sam 23:1-3 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,
2 The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.
KJV
David was many things, a shepherd, a king, a warrior, a father, a husband and more but when given the opportunity to give himself a title just before his death he called himself the “Sweet Psalmist of Israel”. Why? Because David wanted to be remembered as one who followed the Spirit of God and obeyed and spake the Word of God. What title would you give yourself today that people will remember? Some could give themselves the title of millionaire because of the money they have made. Some might give themselves a title that points to their authority in this world such as the president of some company or organization. Some who have trophies may give themselves the title of a great athlete. What title can you give yourself that fits and you want people to remember? Could it be the title Christian? Could it be the title of prayer warrior? Could it be the title of faithfulness to your Savior? Could it be the title of soul winner? What title can you give yourself that fits and you want people to remember? It should be one that points to your walk with Christ and your love for the one who gave His life for you. What title fits your life that God would agree with?
