14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
KJV
Do you have a problem with standing still? Many people do as they seem to always be on the move. Yet there are times when we just need to stand still and wait upon the Lord. The words above were spoken to Israel as they stood before the Red Sea and knew they could not get across or escape the army that was coming after them. They also are for the believer in Christ today when we are in what we know are impossible situations that we cannot overcome. Impossible to go forward, we cannot go back, no place to turn right or left, we are commanded to stand still. Who could better defend you, protect you, lift you above the trouble than the one who saved you? There are times when we just need to pray and place all things in His capable hands and stand still and see what our God will do. Israel was not disappointed when they stood still and nighter will we be.
