Paul also prayed for open doors. Above it is specifically so he could share the gospel with others and if one does that doors or opportunities will be opened. Have you ever prayed for someone to share the gospel with? Most will reply no if they are honest and then wonder why we never seem to have that opportunity. Satan is always working to close the door to the gospel message. (2 Cor 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.) Satan does all he can to keep that light from shining into a heart lost in sin. Shouldn’t we then pray for an open door? But when we do that we need to be ready to step within and speak to that one about Jesus Christ. Study the Bible and the ministry of Paul and take note of the doors that were opened to him to speak of salvation in Christ. It is a prayer that will be answered if we have the boldness to pray for an open door of utterance.
