Heb 13:18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
KJV
Speaking again of prayer this morning. Paul also asked for prayer concerning his personal conduct and walk in this world as he represented his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Paul had done much to destroy the work and name of Jesus before he was saved and now Paul wanted to bring no shame or reproach to the name of Jesus. Paul asked others to pray that he not fall into the snare of the devil. To say we know Jesus and to love Him is one thing, to live and walk in the love of Christ is another and Paul knew that he needed prayer concerning the latter. Satan is still walking about looking for that Christian who lets down his or her guard and devour them. No, Satan cannot have our spirit which has been made eternally alive unto God by salvation in Jesus Christ, but the desire of the devil then is to ruin the testimony of the child of God, to overwhelm them with temptation and to lead them into sin in order to make them useless in the work of the Lord. If Paul asked for prayer in order to walk in good conscience before God and man how much more do we need, do I need prayer today in order to walk with my Lord and Savior? Satan is laying all types of snares before the child of God today and we do need prayer to see and avoid them, we do need prayer to keep a testimony for our Lord. Like Paul I ask for prayer today in order to walk with Jesus in a way that pleases Him.
