John 4:10-14 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
KJV
The woman at the well needed that living water, but how long would that water flow? That anser is given in the Old Testament. (Zech 14:8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.) Summer and winter, heat and cold, that water will always flow and is able to wash away the sin of all who partake and satisfy the soul of all who thirst. That water is Jesus Christ and Jesus is able today to wash away the sins of all who call upon Him for salvation. The woman above was born again that day and had the thirsting in her soul eternally satisfied and is in heaven today. Are you thirsty today? Do you need to be born again today? Do you need Jesus to satisfy your soul today? Then call upon Jesus to forgive you of your sin and save you and you will know at once your soul has been satisfied. That living water will always flow but will be alive tomorrow to call upon the only one who can provide it for you? If you are saved, if you have eternal life through Jesus Christ, then that living water can meet every and all the needs you have today. Call upon Jesus today and you will finds your thirst quenched.
