KJV
Over and over again the apostle Paul calls himself a prisoner under inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Paul knew that he had once been a prisoner of sin, a prisoner of Satan but had been wonderfully set free by the blood if Jesus Christ when he repented of that sin and turned to Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone for salvation and eternal forgiveness. Why then call himself a prisoner? Because when Paul left being a prisoner of Satan he became a prisoner of Jesus Christ but one held prisoner this time by cords of love. Satan wished to destroy his prisoners any way that He can, Jesus gives His prisoners love and life the only way He can, by His precious blood. You are a prisoner today, know it or not, you are a prisoner held captive by one who wants to destroy you or one that loves you. We become a prisoner of Satan by birth in this world, we become prisoners of Christ by the new birth that takes place when one is saved. Being a prisoner is not always a bad thing, in fact it can be the best that can ever happen in an individuals life. You just need to find the right warden.
