KJV
Ever had someone make a promise and you know they are not going to keep it? Many are so quick to make promises that they never stop and think about what it will take to keep them and they are quickly broken. Not so with our God, not so with Christ. Search the Bible and you do find exceeding great and precious promises made by God. The promise of His ever abiding presence, the promise of His constant indwelling, the promise of His provision, the promise of answered prayer, the promise of Him holding onto our hand in such a way that no man can remove it, the promise of His love, the promise of mercy and grace new every morning, the promise of His provision, and on and on I can go. And one greater promise that makes all the others ones sure. (Heb 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:) It is impossible for God to break a promise. The next time a promise is broken and you are disappointed take time to remember promises made that can never be broken because they have been made by our God who cannot lie and cannot break a promise.
