25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

What will you remember this Memorial Day? Some will remember family members who have died in war to provide and protect the freedom we have today and those ones need to be remembered, honored, and the families prayed for. Most of those death are in the past and some many years ago but they are not forgotten, they are remembered as they should be. Will you remember to go to a cemetery for a short service as my wife and I will do today to honor and remember? Will you say an unheard thank you before a grave marker as many will do? All of those things are good and proper on Memorial Day. But there is one who did make the ultimate sacrifice as they say, one who did suffer and die for you, for all of us, one who gave His life because of love for you, and that one rose alive from the grave and does offer to all today forgiveness of sin through His shed blood. Will you remember that one today? Are you able to give a word of thanks for one who will hear your prayers? Have you asked Jesus and Jesus alone to save you from sin and hell? If yes that is something worth remembering as well and if no why not be saved today?
